Monitoring of Marine Organism Accumulation
Several prototypes have been built with texture deformation are placed along the shoreline at Biscayne Bay shoreline in Florida and monitored over time to see how they affect the accumulation of marine biodiversity.
The cervices and creases on the surface can facilitate marine species in latching to the surface. The Initial results show that marine life is growing and colonizing the tiles.
